Day 1…Gardner, Ma to Enfield, CT

Today was the first day of my journey! There was an awesome sendoff from the big chair in Gardner. I was happy so many people were able to come out and show their support!

I noticed a few things on my trip today:
Most downtowns are dieing with boarded up buildings and factories. However, the American dream still exists, with flags on the telephone poles in these towns.

There are a ton of dead animals on the sides of roads. I’m not sure why I saw so many.

Strangest item I had to avoid: a punctured whipped cream can.

The trip did have some cool sights. I got lost and went on 32a instead of 32 for about ten miles.

I’m staying with my ex-girlfiend’s family. They were acccomodating and bought a pizza and let me take a shower!
